The TUNDRA Super Late Model Series Powered by Wisconsin Potatoes will begin its 2019 season under the lights at Wisconsin International Raceway on Saturday, May 11 with a scheduled 6:45 start time.
“There is something about Super Late Model racing under the lights that just can’t be beat – especially at WIR,” said series representative Matt Panure. “We’re ready for Mother Nature to be kind to us this year so we can put on an awesome show for the fans. There is already a lot of driver interest and we expect a strong field with some heavy hitters.”
The event will also mark the debut of the new, and much-discussed, Five Star Late Model Body in TUNDRA and at WIR. As of now it is the only scheduled appearance of the new body at the historic d-shaped half-mile.
Joining TUNDRA on the half-mile will be the Midwest Compact Touring Series. The series, which recently absorbed the Wisconsin-based Midwest Dash Series, will be entertaining fans at WIR for the first time in its history.
The Wisconsin Sport Trucks and Figure 8s are also tentatively scheduled to be on the card.
A full schedule of events will be released at a later date.
Wisconsin International Raceway is located just past the intersection of Highway 55 and KK outside of Kaukauna, Wis. The track offers free camping on the grounds with no utility hook ups. For more information visit www.wirmotorsports.com.
