MATCO TOOLS CAR LOAD NIGHT IS THIS FRIDAY AT Madison Int'l Speedway

Oregon, Wisconsin / August 4, 2015 - Load up the car this Friday night and come out to Madison International Speedway for Matco Tools Car Load Night. The entire car pays just $40.00 for admission to the races if you arrive prior to 7:00 PM. Of course, you still have the option of paying regular admission prices instead. Four divisions of racing are on tap with the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and Roto Rooter 6Shooters. Once again we encourage all of you to come to the pits after the races and meet the drivers, get autographs, etc. Kids should also sign up for exciting prizes at the Turn Four Kids’ Club and stop by DJ’s to play the “Spin to Win” game. The Points Chase is On Zack Riddle has a 633-625 lead over Dale Nottestad in the Whelen All American Late Models championship chase. Jeremy Miller, Bobby Wilberg, and Kevin Knuese follow the top two in the standings. Ryan Goldade is on track to defend his championship in the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman division with a 764-721 lead over Robert Hansberry. Mike Taylor is in third place with two rookies, Steve Anderson and Ray Hellenbrand, completing the top 5. Despite a rough start in the feature on Friday night, defending champion Dan Snyder still leads the Bandits point race with a 764-715 advantage over Nick Schmidt. Brandon DeLacy, Steve Dickson, and David Schmidt round out the top five. First Supply Dash Update A separate point fund / standings are maintained for the First Supply Dash Series in three of our weekly divisions. Late Models: Zack Riddle – 27, Dale Nottestad- 23, Jeremy Miller- 17 Sportsman: Robert Hansberry- 32, Ryan Goldade- 30, Steve Anderson- 26 Bandits: Nick Schmidt- 31, Dan Snyder – 30, Brandon DeLacy - 28 Friday Night Rewind Congratulations to feature winners Dale Nottestad, Ryan Goldade, David Schmidt, and Michael Raskovic. Nottestad now has three wins this season in the Whelen All American Late Models. In his career at MIS he has a total of 26 feature wins in Super Late Models, Late Models, and Trucks. Goldade has six victories in the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman this year giving him a total of 9 wins in the division. David Schmidt picked up his first win in the Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits this season giving him two for his career at Madison. Michael Raskovic earned his first-ever Midwest Trucks checkered flag. Fans also were treated to the first-ever Figure 8 race and Tough Truck Tug of War. Full race report at misracing.com. Calling All 6Shooters There are still opportunities for any race fan to be part of the racing program at Madison. The 6Shooter division was designed to be a true entry level racing division where new drivers can enter the sport without spending a lot of money. Rules / guidelines are available at our website at misracing.com. Hall of Fame Class of 2015 It’s time now to nominate individuals for our next class of the MIS Hall of Fame. The nominations will remain open until August 21st with winners announced on September 4th. Remember it can be drivers, owners / promoters, track officials, car owners, etc. Our website does have listing of past track champions and all-time feature winners. However, the information is far from complete as we have very little from support divisions in the seventies and eighties and not many records prior to 1969. This is where we need your help. Can You Believe it’s August Already? We have an awesome August planned for fans…here’s what you can expect: On August 14th it’s Pomp’s Tire Back to School Night with all children eleven and under admitted free. The NASCAR Whelen All American Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and Legends are all on track that night. There are also plans for a school bus jump! American Ethanol Ag Night at the Races is slated for August 21st featuring the Howie Lettow Memorial 50 as the final round of the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge, American Ethanol Super Trucks, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits and 6Shooters. Scout Night presented by DeWalt is on tap for August 28th featuring the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and the Central States Super Cups. It’s going to be an exciting month of August at MIS. Season Championships on September 4th The final race of the weekly racing program will be held on Friday, September 4th with Whelen Engineering Championship Night with track champions crowned in our three weekly NASCAR divisions. Extended features will take place in all three divisions. Mountain Dew presents Friday Night Fright on September 11th…Tailgator and Mechanical Mischief Monster Trucks, Demolition Derby, Skid Cars, Ugly Trucks, Stock Car Football and more New Track Record Holder in Hobby Stox Cody Buchs set a new track record on the “Ring of Fire” for the Hobby Stox earlier this year with a lap of 14.535.
